’s Job Academy takes top spot at the IAB Creative Showcase for November

Content has pulled in over 650,000 views since launch

The Job Academy, created by and VCCP, has won first place in The Internet Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) Creative Showcase for November. The Job Academy, launched in October 2013, is an online video series which aims to help young people secure employment.

The Job Academy revealed everything jobseekers need to know to secure a position in today’s competitive employment market and was lead by influential career expert Aimee Bateman. Five candidates were hand-picked and put through a seven-part boot camp which included writing the perfect CV, styling an immaculate interview outfit and learning how to project confidence.

Through interviews and workshops, the series provided viewers of the show with countless tips to help guide them through the processes and teach them the tricks of the trade. Since the launch of the seven-part series, the episodes have accumulated over 650,000 views.

John Salt, website director, comments: “We are thrilled that the Job Academy has been recognised for its creativity. We are constantly looking for ways to engage young people and help them find the jobs they want. Today’s employment market is tough for young people, and often they don’t know where to get the best advice from.

With so many young people spending more and more time online, it seems the obvious place through which to engage with them. By demonstrating what it takes to get a job, we are able to inspire and encourage jobseekers across the country.”

The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) is the UK trade association for digital advertising. The Creative Showcase came to life in Spring 2003 and celebrates creativity and innovation in digital advertising in the UK. Every month, a winner and two runners up are chosen by a team of senior creative judges.
